Dear Reader,

We are proud to send you our last newsletter of 2015.

First of all, we would like to express our deepest sympathy to all our colleagues who have been in any way affected by the Paris terrorist attacks in November as well as by any terror alert-related disruptions in Brussels that have followed those events.

As the situation in Paris and Brussels was deteriorating, we did our best to ensure the personal safety of all our training participants and postponed our Brussels courses which were scheduled at the end of November.

At the beginning of 2016, our first courses will take place in Vienna, while in spring we invite you to join us in Budapest and, again, in Brussels.

As we approach the holiday season, we would like to offer you a unique seasonal gift in the value of 300 EUR. We are certain that it will help you in planning next year’s activities in case Horizon 2020 funding is important to your organization.

Whether you are just planning to jump into proposal preparation or you are already in the middle of implementing a project but you need a helping hand, complete your registration in 2015 for any of the courses organised in January/February 2016 and get a € 100 discount from the course fee. In addition to this you will receive 2 x € 100 vouchers, which can be used by yourself or your colleague in our courses between March and December 2016.

Please note that this special gift is provided exclusively for our newsletter subscribers and valid only in December!

(To benefit from the discount, use your personal voucher code during registration: #voucher_code#)

Currently our team is busy with the Grant Agreement Preparation of our four new Horizon 2020 projects (more on this will come later, so stay tuned!).
November and December are also months of intense travelling for our project managers: Krisztina and Daniel flew to Stuttgart, Germany for the second-year project meeting of the PlasCarb project; Balazs was in Brescia, Italy for the first year project meeting of the TASIO project; in December, Peter and Daniel will visit Naples, Italy for a meeting of the IMPRESS project, while Gabor and Ömer will hold an in-house course for the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre in Mol. It seems that physical meetings are still fashionable, despite the rapid technological growth that has also affected project management.

Continue to follow us on social media or contact us directly if you have questions related to our courses and to EU funds!

EU's Energy Union will fail without cities' and regions' help

The Energy Union is the EU’s plan to fight climate change and bolster the bloc’s resilience against shortages. It was given political impetus by the Ukraine crisis, which highlighted the EU’s dependence on Russian gas.

It is also being driven by commitments to cut emissions, and boost renewables and energy efficiency, aimed at turning the bloc into a low carbon economy. But those targets will only be monitored and met, if the European Commission drafts legislation to create a governance framework.

Liliya Levandovska

It may be difficult to imagine that just 20 years ago people across the world didn't enjoy the benefits of widespread access to high-speed Internet and cellular networks.
