Open science is explained in the Grant Agreement as an ‘approach to the scientific process based on open cooperative work, tools and diffusing knowledge’.

This webinar will introduce the mandatory legal obligations and the optional open science practices including early and open sharing, open peer-review, reproducibility or citizen science, etc.

All requirements will be explained on metadata, validation, repositories, etc. with examples from research projects from different disciplines. It is not enough to commit yourself in the proposal, because your promises will become your legal obligations.  The principle stays: as open as possible and as closed as necessary. How to balance this with industry partners is an important question you need to answer.

Topics covered:

  • Open access to scientific publications
  • Open access to research data
  • FAIR principles in research data management
  • Open science approaches
  • Licencing, repositories, validation requirements
  • AGA Annex 5 explanations

Who is this webinar for?

The webinar will help researchers and research administrators, communication people to understand better how open science requirements can be fulfilled.

The webinar is accessible for 12 months after the purchase under “My Account”.
