Financial Rules in Horizon Europe – Focus on changes from H2020
||14:00 CEST||90 + 30 min||€ 89|
There will be some small changes and one significant change in Horizon Europe finances – the key change refers to your existing practices on calculating eligible personnel costs. Gabor Kitley, a financial expert of EU funds, will explain the key differences and help you to avoid making mistakes in this period.
Conceptually, concerning cost identification and reporting, not much seems to be changing. However, the devil is always hidden in the details – calculating personnel costs, internally invoiced items, and many more is to have major updates compared to Horizon 2020.
For example, when you calculate personnel costs for your reports, you will assumingly use the same method for Erasmus or Horizon Europe.
Our expert will guide you through the key changes and show you through an example how to report personnel costs in H2020 and then in HE (same person, same period, different projects funded in the two programmes).
Topics of discussion:
- Conceptual approach, changes in terminology
- Cost reporting variations
- Personnel cost calculation – challenges with daily rates and simplified options – direct comparison between H2020 and Horizon Europe
- Internal invoices – how can you have your procedures accepted, even including overhead in your unit rate?
- Mutual Insurance Mechanism, CFS limits and System and Process Audits
- And many more!
