Open Science in Horizon Europe is much more than fulfilling mandatory open-access and data requirements. To be competitive, especially in a highly oversubscribed programme, you must understand Open Science both as a legal obligation and as a strategic opportunity.
This webinar will clarify the mandatory elements, so you feel confident about compliance. But more importantly, it will show you how optional Open Science practices can significantly strengthen your proposal, help you stand out from the competition, and improve your evaluation score.
These practices are particularly powerful and often implicit in Missions and New European Bauhaus (NEB) actions, as well as in all proposals involving public value, social innovation, or transdisciplinary collaboration.
By the end of this free session, you will understand not only what Open Science requires but also how to use it strategically: to differentiate your proposal, strengthen your implementation plan, and engage stakeholders in meaningful, value-added ways.
This session will cover:
-
The legal basis for Open Science obligations in Horizon Europe: what minimal obligations you must meet.
-
What optional Open Science practices can differentiate your proposal?
-
How to integrate stakeholder engagement and co-creation into your Open Science strategy, and why missions and NEB projects should go further.
-
How to link Open Science with dissemination & exploitation pathways.
-
Practical resources to make your research more visible, reusable, manageable and impactful while complying with Open Science obligations.
-
How to avoid common weaknesses identified by the evaluators.
Why Europa Media?
Europa Media is Europe’s leading provider of practical training courses on EU’s research and innovation programmes. We have 25 years of experience in developing and implementing projects under the Framework Programmes. Under Horizon 2020, we have been involved successfully in over 30 projects, coordinating six of them. Under the first work programmes of Horizon Europe, we are currently involved in 11 collaborative projects, coordinating one of them. Europa Media’s trainers are actual project managers, coordinators, and financial administrators of these projects, sharing their stories and providing you with hands-on tips based on their everyday experience. For the past 20 years, they have been supporting all the major institutions as well as several of the NCPs in the Member States and countries associated to the Framework Programmes. This event, as always, has been designed based on our direct hands-on experience with EU research and innovation proposals and is, therefore, 100% practice-driven.
